Star Wars Day: May the Fourth Be With You

Whenever the little giant asks "Mommy, what your favorite movie?", only one comes to my mind - The Empire Strikes Back.   The Star Wars film series has become a worldwide pop culture phenomenon, depicting the classic of the light vs dark.  May 4th has been designated as a day of celebration by fans around the world where they can proclaim their love for all things Star Wars.

Here in Singapore, May 4 is the day to bring out your inner geek, gather your padawans and head out to:

(1)  The Singapore Philatelic Museum.

On display is an impressive display of "Star Wars" movie memorabilia and collectibles of action figures 3¾inch and 12inch , model ships and vehicles featured in the movies, and a diorama of the 'Emperor's Arrival Scene'.   You will enjoy FREE ADMISSION when you dress up as characters from the trilogies!

“How Strong Is The Force?” Quiz 9.30am - 5.00pm
Pose and Post Photobooth  11.00am - 5.00pm [Don on costumes to transform yourselves into Star Wars characters and strike a pose. The photograph will be printed on a postcard which can be sent with the special May 4th event date stamp. Charge: $10 for two postcards.]
Meet The Troopers 2.00pm - 4.00pm
Special Event Date Stamp only on 4th May 2013
Sale Of Limited Edition Merchandise such as the Star Wars MyStamp book, R2-D2 miniature posting box, Star Wars key chains, and Star Wars collectible toy sets.
*Proceeds of the various activities will fund the operations of the Singapore Philatelic Museum.

2.  After the Philatelic Museum, head down to Orchard.  Hasbro has organized the special appearance of some of the most beloved STAR WARS characters along Orchard Road from 2-6pm. Fans have a chance to walk away with a special Star Wars Kenner Vintage Series Boba Fett (RRP $19.90) to be given out on that day.
